Avatar is the highest grossing film of all time. The film has raked in nearly $2.8 billion in worldwide Ironically, its also the most 'downloadable' film in Hollywood history; 21 million times since it was released in 2009 to be exact. James Cameron once predict that 3D is the best way to combat piracy. Turns out, it failed. I think instead of 3D, high definition is much more powerful. If they can create a Full HD movie theater, that would definitely reduce the number of piracy. Although I suspect people would have to wear some sort of protective glasses.
This might be down to the expensive nature of anything that have to do with 3D.
